Are you a host on Turo and Getaround? We would like to think you already know about Ryde — the hot new car sharing app that took off this summer!
Like Turo and Getaround, Ryde offers you the opportunity to share your cars through their platform, quickly and easily. To list your car, sign up and click on “List your RYDE”. Listing is a simple 3-step process:
- Enter your vehicle details.
- Set your preferences.
- Upload photos (show Ryde your best pictures!).
Your car will go through the approval process after which it will appear in the search results! As the owner, you have the freedom to determine the availability of your vehicle as well as the listing price per day.
Ryde vs. Turo
Nothing new, eh? You’re right — Ryde works very similar to Turo. If you’re in this trade, it’s another opportunity to make more money with your car sharing business!
Some of the differences we noticed:
- Ryde only takes 20% of the trip earnings, while Turo on average takes 25%.
- You’d love to hear Ryde pays all reimbursements in full!
- Over-mileage is not adjustable but set to $0.75 per additional mile.
- Ryde does not have instant booking yet, so all reservations have to be approved by hosts within a time limit.
- Mileage restriction for vehicles is set at 120k miles.
Ryde currently operates in California metropolitan areas (Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco and the Bay Area), but we heard people were able to list their cars elsewhere. You can easily check if there are cars listed on Ryde in your area — just type your zip in their search!
